Job Purpose
Over the past several years, SECURE’s Midstream Infrastructure business unit has expanded the scale and complexity of its operations. With more than 100 waste disposal and crude oil transportation facilities serving the energy industry across Canada and the US, SECURE’s asset base has grown, requiring its Preventative Maintenance program be formally managed and systematized.
To bring success to SECURE’s evolving Preventative Maintenance program, a motivated resource with the capacity to learn and execute to plan is needed. The individual will bring a combination of skills and experience to the role of helping construct and maintain a standardized Preventative Maintenance program.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
• Assist in the development and implementation of standardized Preventative Maintenance Program, Fiix, for 50+ facilities.
• Support in the standardization and oversight of asset inspection, Preventative Maintenance, repair, equipment standardization, and regulatory compliance activities.
• Writing and maintaining Maintenance Standards and Policies
• Stakeholder engagement and communication
• System quality assurance auditing
• System data population and configuration
• Preparation of user training materials and provision of training
• Building and maintaining a Critical Spares Asset List
• Provide real-time Preventative Maintenance system support to users using a help desk approach.
• Work alongside SECURE Preventative Maintenance Team Lead to develop and implement a Preventative Maintenance system using a phased and prioritized approach.
• Complete assigned project activities on-time with care, diligence, and quality.
• Provide insight to change management considerations to ensure buy-in and continual improvement.
• Audit work orders for Content, Quality, and Completeness.
• Work independently and with others to continually improve Preventative Maintenance practices to improve safety, reduce costs, and decrease unexpected downtime.
• Be able to travel to facilities in B.C., Alberta, Sask., and North Dakota to provide in-field support. Up to 5% of the role expected to be dedicated to travel.
Qualifications/Competencies
The individual in this role will have:
• Completed 2nd year of Mechanical Engineering
• Previous experience with equipment or vehicles is considered to be an asset
• Excellent computer and application skills with proven analytical competency.
• Experience with industrial equipment and processes
• Proficient in Excel
• Driven to provide quality customer service to all levels of an organization. “How can I Help” mentality
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to engage stakeholders and system users. A collaborative approach to working with stakeholders is essential.

The Following Would Be An Asset In This Role
• Reading and interpreting P&ID’s, Shut down key
• Experience with a CMMS such as Fiix, SAP, or Maximo
• A structured and methodical approach to problem-solving
