The Intern is responsible for supporting the Project Development team to identify , evaluate, structure, promote and develop renewable energy projects for EDF Renewables in W estern Canada .

• Conduct competitive market research, tracking, and analysis
• Support r esearch and preparation of stakeholder responses
• Data entry to record meeting minutes and track external/internal stakeholder communications
• Support Assist with diligence work to help identify and characterize competitor s and analysis
• T riage new renewable energy projects
• Support the development and permitting process work
• Provide support in preparation for attendance at public presentations, open houses, and external events , including preparation of materials
• Support various requests for information, qualification, and proposals
• Assist with preparing presentations to be internal and external stakeholders
• Support business development and customer relationship efforts as needed
• Working with a multi-discipline team, find creative ways to optimize projects and find a competitive edge
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management staff or his/her designee
Goals Of Internship
• Maintaining a competition tool tracking activities and status of our competitors in the region
• Attending and preparing documents and communication for meetings/webinars/conference/open houses
• Helping to manage stakeholder engagements through the stakeholder management tool (Borealis)
• General support of the QC development efforts

• Develop awareness of the development process of large-scale wind and solar energy project in Alberta (commercial, environmental, permitting, technical aspects)
• Potential learning opportunities: bidding process, project management, community engagement, policy/regulatory development, market tracking, environmental optimization
• Participate in the most active renewables market in Canada. Be part of helping shape policy for how renewables will integrate into western markets. Learn research skills, engage with First Nations, work across wind, solar and energy storage technologies.

Education/Experience
• Currently enrolled in degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, Technology, and Business Bachelor’s Degree Program .

• Able to demonstrate an ability to work as part of a team and manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously
