The Co-op Student/ recent graduate will perform a wide variety of tasks in relation to the Edmonton Valley Line West LRT project. As we prepare for Winter 2024 Co-op terms, we require students or recent graduates (less than 6 months since convocation) to assist in the Structural, Noise and Vibration, and Health and Safety areas.
All placements are in Edmonton, Alberta.
It is the candidate’s responsibility to arrange travel and accommodation.
Main Responsibilities
The Structures Team is responsible for construction of the elevated guideway and two bridge structures, duties will be varied and will focus on tasks/activities required to meet our environmental, safety and design compliance obligations.
The Construction Noise and Vibration Team is responsible for the monitoring and measuring the acoustics and vibrations across the project’s scope, analyzing the data to recommend and ensure noise reduction, structural integrity and proposing viable technical solutions, reducing noise pollution and disruption to members of the public and workers on the project.
The Health, Safety and Environment Intern will work with a team to ensure the smooth running of the HSE office and supports HSE team members by coordinating with the Safety Administrator in training sessions, compiling reports, reviewing policies and procedures, tracking, and analyzing safety statistics, etc. Individuals with excellent attention to details, comfort with moderate levels of repetitive and administrative tasks and strong communication and interpersonal skills will excel in this role.

Profile
Must be a registered student in a post-secondary Cooperative education program in Engineering, Health and Safety, or related field OR a graduate in 2023.
