Project Analyst Intern
How does the role impact the organization?
On September 1, 2023, following regulatory and ministerial approvals, Raymond James Ltd. announced the acquisition of Vancouver-based, Solus Trust Company Limited and with that, the merger with Raymond James Trust (Canada). This combination expands our capacity to deliver high quality, independent trust services through the expansion of our team of estate and trust professionals across Canada.
This paid internship will be provided a unique opportunity for the successful candidate to support an important roll out of our business model for our newly expanded Trust Company in Canada. The mandate will include working with our Trust executive leadership team to help us identity and focus our strategic priorities to grow our business throughout key markets in Canada. This project will be research focused and will provide the successful candidate with a unique opportunity to meet and work with key stakeholders, centers of influence (COIs) and advisors within our firm and industry.
What will your role be responsible for?
• Work in collaboration with the CEO and Head of Corporate Development to assist with the execution of industry and market research to support the successful execution of our strategic goals
• Support the delivery of a project plan which will focus on the National roll out of our new trust services business model across Canada
• Conduct a deep dive into the estate and trust services industry in Canada
• Conduct research to identify our competitive landscape, market opportunity together with a comprehensive SWOT analysis
• Conduct interviews calls with internal stakeholders, advisors, and COIs both within RJL and externally.
• Assess and identify industry research which focuses on intergenerational wealth transfer and other relevant topics to our business (executor, power of attorney, trusts and trustee)
• Analyze information regarding users of trust services and the opportunity growth of our business
• Deliver a fulsome report providing results of the analysis of our industry together with a recommendation on where our business might focus our attention and investment in order to successfully reach our strategic goals
• Presentation of reports and finding to our Trust Leadership team and Board of Directors
