As an Intern, you will be working in one of the following departments for the required work term – Sales, Product Management, Business Development or Marketing. In addition, an executive mentor will be assigned to you for the duration of your work term.

Responsibilities

As a Sales Intern:
• Maintain sales accounts and enter sales orders in an organized, efficient and effective manner
• Perform basic research to include looking up multiple lists in database
• Maintain required sales documentation
• Gather information from call out campaigns
• Assist with projects as needed
• Interface with Product Managers, Credit, Customers, Traffic Specialist and Customer Service

As a Product Management Interns:
• Work proactively with vendors, sales and resellers to ensure effective information and sales flow
• Work with the Product Management team to produce presentations, handouts, newsletters and other marketing materials as needed
• Provide Sales, Marketing and vendors with market and customer research including market trend analysis and extrapolation from reports, new trends to the IT industry, competitor sizing and pricing research, web-based selling trends and techniques and others
• Assist in general department organization, file management, system and process coordination
• Special projects on market profiling, pricing analysis, customer lists and analysis, housekeeping

As a Business Development Intern:
• Support strategic marketing/ product line business plans
• Help increase revenue and profitability
• Seize market share from all TD SYNNEX competitors
• Help up sell and cross-sell TD SYNNEX product line to resellers
• Assist in coordinating and participating in TD SYNNEX Sales & Reseller training and activities
• Build Reseller relationships

As a Marketing/ Events Intern:
• Assist in developing marketing plans, business development decks and sales presentations
• Help plan, coordinate and execute events such as trade shows, conferences and training road shows, sporting events, incentive trips and other internal or customer-focused events
• Assist in monitoring and updating online presence by monitoring social media channels and creating engaging content, taking on social media optimization initiatives to drive traffic, generate digital leads and create online buzz

Knowledge Skills and Experience
• Intern must be a rising senior with a 3.2 GPA
• Currently enrolled at an accredited College or University at the time of the internship
• Able to complete a 12-week program at 40 hours per week
• Demonstrated business communication skills (both verbal and written) with the ability to converse with customers effectively over the phone
• Proven interpersonal skills and capable of learning, applying and presenting sales principles/techniques within a short timeframe
• Advanced computer skills capable of multi-tasking and/or work on multiple sales accounts concurrently
• Must be number and detail-oriented
• High degree of ethics and integrity is a must
• We look for students who possess strong interpersonal skills and have an interest in starting a career in Sales, Product Management, Business Development and/or Marketing. As an IT Distributor, we buy IT products (hardware, software, accessories, etc.) from OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers), such as Lenovo, HP, Microsoft, and sell to Resellers. Our interns work in these above areas to gain experience working on meaningful business projects.
